Herbs that should definitely be at your home pharmacy during fall

Medicinal herbs provide year-round support to the body. We live in a complicated world where people have forgotten about their immunity. Immunity's job is to keep the body's internal environment stable while also distinguishing it from foreign invaders. What we do and choose today has an impact on our health, as does what we did yesterday, last week, and last month. You make good health a priority in your life.

Why are Estonian berries important?

Because we just had a hot summer, everything is two weeks behind this year. As a result, berries are smaller, and stone fruit yields are still low.

Currants, gooseberries, chokeberries, rowans, and blueberries, among other Estonian berries, are high in vitamins and minerals. They can be frozen as well, but whole berries with a little sugar are best. The sugar can then be easily washed away, leaving the berry unadulterated. Making your jam is fun, but once the berries are heated, they lose their flavor.

Herbs that everyone should have in their closet

  • Melissa is a wonderful calming plant.
  • Minta is soothing in the evening when made as a light tea, but it is stimulating when made as a strong tea and can be substituted for coffee.
  • Horsetail is a favorite among face yoga practitioners because it aids in the production of collagen in the body.
  • Juniper berries, the older generation used to say that if you eat a couple of juniper berries every day, you won't need any additional vitamins.
  • Yarrow is one of the most effective cough relievers.
  • St. John's wort oil is a natural antidepressant that also relieves nerve damage.
  • Breckland thyme causes you to sweat and expel water from your system.

Herbs should not be added to boiling water when making tea; instead, the water should be boiled and then slightly cooled. Tea preparation should be monitored to ensure that the normal drinking tea does not exceed the required brew. A time frame of 3-5 minutes would be ideal. If you're getting treatment, make sure you leave for at least 15-20 minutes.

Dried herbs should be kept in an airtight container in a dark, dry location. In a glass jar with a lid, it's best.

Fermented foods like kimchi, sauerkraut, and vegetables can also help to boost immunity because they provide your body with beneficial bacteria. Wild garlic, ground elder, and dandelion are all herbs that can be fermented. Don't be afraid to express yourself! It goes well with almost any dish as a salad. Your body will thank you because, in addition to reducing inflammation, you will be bolstering your immune system.

Hands are often cool or even cold in the autumn-winter season, and feet can be cold as well. You could add ginger or fennel to your tea in this case. Both of these things warm you up.
