Diet and exercise have a significant influence on our physical appearance. So, just as we exercise our bodies to stay in shape, we must also exercise our facial muscles. Regular facial yoga practice has been shown to slow down the aging process, improve the structure and quality of the skin, and prevent sagging. Face yoga is a set of exercises that allow your face to relax and tone muscles in the same way that yoga does for the body.
The facial muscles are very similar to the muscles in the rest of the body. The face contains more than 50 muscles, not all of which are used daily. Muscle inactivity loosens the skin and accelerates the aging process. Because muscle tone loss contributes to facial aging, committing to a face yoga routine can make the entire face stronger and more youthful.
Why do wrinkles occur?
Relaxing the facial muscles, particularly those in areas where we naturally tense up, such as the jaw, brows, and forehead, can help prevent or eliminate wrinkles. Because our facial muscles can't lift weights or run on the treadmill, we can tone and strengthen them by pressing on them with our fingertips or making certain facial expressions. The right exercises can help relieve eye and lip wrinkles as well as prevent double jaws and wrinkles. Wrinkles are a natural part of growing older. Some occur as a result of the automatic tightening of facial muscles, such as those around the eyes and mouth. You might be surprised to learn how much tension a person holds on their face and neck throughout the day. Facial yoga teaches you how to consciously use these muscles so that you can relax them whenever you want.
There are four parts to facial yoga:
- Muscle training,
- Stress relief,
- Body posture,
- The effect of habits.
Face yoga - how many times a week should you train?
Facial exercises help to strengthen specific muscles in the face, resulting in smoother, more radiant skin. Facial yoga is not only a less expensive alternative to Botox and other cosmetic procedures. Rather than spending a fortune on cosmetic surgery or skin filler injections, try doing 10 minutes of face yoga every day. It's healthier, and best of all, if you exercise regularly, it works!
There's no need to be concerned that practicing face yoga will take an inordinate amount of time. Exercise for a short period, such as 5-10 minutes 5 times a week, is sufficient, and the exercises can be done as a quick addition to regular body training. Facial yoga, like everything else in life, requires a certain level of consistency. You will see better results if you exercise more frequently. Because they don't take up a lot of space, some of the simpler exercises can be done anytime, anywhere. Your face should be cleansed of make-up and accumulated dirt before training the facial muscles, and a moisturizing ointment or cream should be applied.
Face yoga is appropriate for people of all ages.
How do you see results of facial yoga?
Before beginning yoga, you should always take pictures of your face to keep track of your progress and stay motivated.
- After 1 week: the face is toned, you notice an improvement in the quality of the skin.
- After 1 month: regular facial yoga can be expected to reduce smaller fine lines. In addition, the skin glows with a beautiful glow.
- After 6 months: with regular facial yoga for 6 months or more, you will see your face fully taut, localized features will be reduced, bags under the eyes will be smaller and lines may be reduced by up to 80%. Significant change in skin elasticity and complexion.
If you don't know how to do it yourself or the exercises seem difficult?
We've created a four-week online course called "10x younger without surgery" that will walk you through different facial areas and teach you how to put together a facial yoga routine for yourself by the end of the week.
If you're interested in facial yoga, the beginner's kit, jadeite face roller, moisturizing meadowsweet face oil, and, of course, face yoga cards may be of assistance. The cards are also available at any Apollo or Rahva Raamat's Book store that is well-stocked.
We're always in a rush, and it's only getting faster as we get older. It appears that fitting all of the good and useful morning or evening routines into one busy day is becoming increasingly difficult. Don't worry, we've taken care of the problem of incorporating one new habit into your daily routine. Using cards, take care of your face.
The exercises are made even easier by using cards. Taking one card from the pack and putting it somewhere visible is the best way to practice. A refrigerator, a computer desk, or a closet, for example, are all good options. The concept is that you do the exercise every time you walk by it. As a result, you'll be able to do the exercise several times a day with short repetitions without having to set aside time for it. You exchange the card for a new one the next day. After a month, the pack is shuffled and a new round starts. Mixing and switching keep the muscles from becoming too accustomed to it.
